Does your pay stub make any sense, or does it simply look like a bunch of numbers? There are minimum requirements when it comes to what is displayed on your pay stub or earnings statement, the other information is simply there for you and the company you work for so errors can be found or calculated. Some have a layout that is easy to follow, while others are messy and hard to understand.
If you find yourself in this situation, you are not alone. The best advice I can offer is ASK. If you have a question or notice an error, you must bring it to someone’s attention. You also need to make a habit of reviewing your pay stub, never assume it is correct. Payroll is a very complex process that often involves several people, and errors sometimes happen.
Remember to always check your pay stub and ask questions. You’ve earned it so make sure you get paid correctly.
